I’m applying to PhD programs this fall.

When applying to college, I originally wanted to major in English. 

Q: What first sparked your interest in Physics?

I enjoyed calculus, physics, and digital electronics in high school. 

Q: If you could have any pet, what would it be?

Cat

Q: If you had a free month and unlimited funds, how would you spend your time?

Backpacking through either South America or South Asia. 

Q: If you could get a grant to study anything, what would it be?

It would be great to work on quantum or optical computing (on either the experimental side or the theory side). Also, any project that would give me an excuse to learn more about data structures would be fun.
