Q: What are your physics/science interests?
I am interested in astrophysics, especially particle astrophysics, gravitational wave astrophysics, and cosmology.
Q: What are your other interests?
I love watching movies, crocheting, and going for walks. I have also recently gotten into knitting and tennis!
Q: What would you like to do after college?
After college, I plan to pursue a PhD in a field related to astrophysics. Ultimately, I’d like to be a professor at a university.
Q: Tell us one strange but interesting fact about yourself?
I basically have all of Phoebe Bridgers’ discography memorized and can identify any one of her songs within 3 seconds of it playing.
Q: What first sparked your interest in Physics?
I wanted to be an astrophysicist when I was really young, but I didn’t remember that until I took a fascinating introductory astronomy course for non-physics majors my first year of college. I was unsure of what I wanted to major in at the time, but after taking that course I realized astrophysics was the only thing I really wanted to do for the rest of my life.
Q: If you could have any pet, what would it be?
I want an Italian greyhound. They have to wear coats and boots when it’s cold because they’re so small and I think it is very cute.
Q: If you had a free month and unlimited funds, how would you spend your time?
I would definitely spend a lot of time traveling. I’d love to go to Ireland, Scotland, and Iceland. If there were any good concerts that month, I’d try to go to those. Also, I would buy as much yarn as possible for my various crochet projects.
Q: If you could get a grant to study anything, what would it be?
That’s a difficult question since I don’t know exactly what I want to study. Doing something at CERN, specifically concerning the search for dark matter particles, would be very cool.
