Q: What are your physics/science interests?

I’d love to work in any field of physics, especially high energy, condensed matter, and quantum physics. I also enjoy studying geophysics and learning about clean energy solutions.

Q: What are your other interests?

In addition to physics, I enjoy playing the oboe, outdoor exercise, drawing, and identifying the intervals of public transportation ringtones.

Q: What would you like to do after college?

I would like to attend a PhD program in physics and continue playing oboe in an orchestra.

Q: Tell us one strange but interesting fact about yourself.

I draw cats when stressed.

Q: What first sparked your interest in Physics?

On the first day of physics class in 9th grade my teacher told us to write down what we thought physics was. At the time I had no idea. I still have no idea how to put it into words.

Q: If you could have any pet what would it be?

My cat (Zibellina) but immortal. Or a frog.

Q: If you had a free month and unlimited funds, how would you spend your time?

I’d move to Iceland, set up my retirement account, donate to a nonprofit to fix poverty without destroying the economy, and then go back to studying. Or sail across an ocean. That would be cool too.

Q: If you could get a grant to study anything, what would it be?

Astrophysics or particle physics.
