A Community of Practice
TUconnect TUPrEP is a Community of Practice (CoP) where healthcare workers can share knowledge, experiences, and best practices, supporting each other to help facilitate the delivery of PrEP delivery in Maternal and Child Health clinics.
This CoP consists of:
This website, where you can access up-to-date resources like guidelines, job aids, IEC materials, and training materials
A WhatsApp group for communicating with other members, asking questions, and sharing your experiences
A series of facilitated meetings on Zoom where you can connect with other members and ask questions in real time
A Community of Practice (CoP) is a group of individuals with a shared topical focus who learn from one another's experiences and insights through regular and organized interaction. Essentially, it is a structured way for health workers like you to learn from one another as new practices are integrated into your work.
The TUconnect TUPrEP CoP is dedicated to enhancing PrEP delivery for pregnant and postpartum women in maternal child health clinic settings across Kenya. We believe that by sharing knowledge, discussing challenges, and collaborating on solutions, we can significantly impact HIV prevention efforts and improve health outcomes for mothers and children.
By joining our Community of Practice, you become part of a supportive network dedicated to making pregnancy safer and reducing HIV transmission. Together, we can enhance our skills, improve our practices, and make a lasting difference in the health of Kenyan mothers and children.
Participation in this CoP is part of a research study called PrEPARE Scale Up, lead by Dr. John Kinuthia, head of Research and Programs at Kenyatta National Hospital, and Dr. Anjuli Wagner, assistant professor at the University of Washington (United States).
Our CoP offers many resources to support your work in PrEP implementation. From practical job aids to comprehensive guidelines, you'll find valuable tools to enhance your practice. See the Resources tab at the top of the website.
