This career-counseling workbook is designed to help counselors support Asian American clients by exploring how cultural values and family expectations impact their career choices. Many Asian American clients feel pressure from their families and communities, making it hard for them to talk openly about their career goals, especially if their interests don’t match cultural expectations. The workbook includes activities that guide clients to reflect on their experiences, work through emotional challenges, and explore career options while balancing their personal and cultural values. It also gives counselors tools to help clients make career decisions that fit both their identity and family expectations.
