At the RC we believe that health and well-being are wholistic and interconnected. We want our students to develop across the following domains as they transition to life at UW and beyond.
Health and Wellness is unique to each of us, and honoring our needs requires factual information, reflection, and intentionally building sustainable habits.
The exploration and development of personal well-being also involves exploring concepts of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making. These concepts -- when examined in context of identity, agency, belonging, collaborative problem-solving, and curiosity -- provide people an avenue for recognizing and interacting with thoughts and feelings, and for more effectively connecting with others.
What does well-being mean to you?
As you explore what it means to take care of your own wellness, check out some of the resources below tailored to the well-being needs of teens and UW students.
