Welcome to our website! We are a research group led by Prof. Daehyun Kim at the department of atmospheric sciences in the University of Washington.

We study dynamics of the Madden-Julian oscillation, the mechanisms through which cumulus clouds aggregate with each other, the thermodynamics of tropical cyclogenesis in observations and global high-resolution models, among many others.
