Urban Farming defined as the growing of plants within and around the cities area. Importance of urban farming not only contribution to urban food security and nutrition but it reconnects people with how to grow food. ‘Know your farmer, know your food’, as most of the people in urban area wouldn’t know how the food are growing. Involve in community farming able to learn how crops grow and to have more appreciation towards food. Besides, this market and learning centre for the blind also act as community space which allow interaction between visually impaired group and the society. Understanding, sharing and learning allow the society to care more about the blind, give hep whenever they need. Moreover, creating a sustainability city is one of the main objectives of this building. Integrating rainwater harvesting with urban farming applied and showed in the design and details of this building. Reuse of rainwater for farming is a good practice and able to save big amount of water expenses over the time. Rainwater harvesting also one of the good methods to reduce stormwater runoff in an urban area to avoid flooding. Government and Malaysian encourage to have more awareness about water management.
