Henry County 4-H

Purpose

4-H encourages diverse groups of youth to develop their unique skills and talents to their fullest potential. Young people participate in 4-H through clubs, special interest groups, after-school programs, camps, and many other activities. "Learn by doing" through hands-on activities and community involvement empowers 4-H'ers to develop and strengthen life skills. 4-H is open to any Henry County youth in the 4th-12th grade.

Choosing Your Projects

An important part of 4-H is your project work. Choose two projects. You will increase knowledge and build skills in those projects. Most of your project work will take place on your own time, not in 4-H meetings.

Clover Bucks Program

4-H members have the opportunity to earn Clover Bucks at each monthly meeting by participating in the club contests. Clover Bucks may be used to pay for camp. Collect the Clover Bucks earned this school year and turn them in with your camp payment for a discount.

4-H Club Meetings

4-H clubs meet monthly. Members will experience leadership and citizenship activities, along with lessons and contests. Participation in contests is encouraged, but not required. Some of our 4-H teacher leaders do offer grades or extra credit for some contests, as they align with state educational standards.
