Drop-off and Travelling to School
For those who will be travelling to school by car to the MYP/DP Campus, we request that you use the designated drop-off areas. Please note that there is no stopping and parking is forbidden along Filbornavägen. The school car park is restricted to staff only and parking permits are required. We encourage students to travel either by foot, public transport or bicycle. There is a large number of bicycle racks available on the campus. If your child cycles please ensure that they have a suitable lock for their bicycle. Mopeds should be parked at the front of the school in designated areas only.
Parents are not permitted to enter the building unless they have a scheduled appointment.
Students resident in Helsingborg may be eligible for a bus pass from the City of Helsingborg. More information is available here. Students living outside of Helsingborg need to contact their municipality to check whether they are eligible for a bus pass.
Items to Bring
Student in MYP5 must wear indoor training shoes to the PHE indoor classes. In addition, students must wear suitable PHE clothes, for example shorts and/or training pants and a T-shirt. Students should also bring a towel and soap for showering.
Students attending MYP5 through to DP2 are also required to bring a lock for a locker which they will be assigned during the first couple of days. We recommend that it is a lock with a key and not code.
Special Diets
If your child requires a special diet, this must be registered digitally using this link, and a valid doctor’s certificate must be uploaded. Please note that BankID is required to complete the registration.
Do not register if your child only requires pork-free or vegetarian meals.
If your child requires egg-free meals on specific days only, this information should be sent directly by email to julie.little@helsingborg.se. Please clearly include your child’s full name, class, and the exact dates on which the egg-free diet is required.
If you need assistance or do not have access to BankID, please contact the school office. For students with protected personal information, a special procedure is in place —please contact us so arrangements can be made securely.
Reporting Absences
Skola24 is used across the PYP, MYP, and DP programmes to manage schedules, attendance, and absences. Students can also access and view their own timetables through the platform. Please note that both the student and the guardians need a valid Swedish Personal Identity Number to use Skola24. When your child is newly enrolled, it will take a few days before access to Skola24 is activated.
Mobile Device Loan Agreement
Students enrolled in the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP) have the option to loan a school‑owned computer for use throughout their period of study. This device is intended solely as an educational tool to support learning, research, and completion of academic tasks. To receive a device, parents/guardians must read and sign the Mobile Device Loan Agreement, which becomes available on OpenApply once a student is officially enrolled.
Weekly Newsletters and Reports
ManageBac is the school’s platform for curriculum planning and reporting student progress to parents. Weekly newsletters are also published through ManageBac, keeping parents informed about classroom activities and whole-school updates. When your child is newly enrolled, it will take a few days before access to ManageBac is activated. Parents use their OpenApply login details to access ManageBac.
Student keycards
Students are given a keycard that they use to enter the building. In case of a lost keycard, students are charged SEK 100 for a replacement.
Medical Form
Please fill in the Student Health Form with information for the school nurse.
The school physician and school nurse provide advice and support for student well-being. The school nurse works preventatively to promote health by offering health talks, health visits, health education and vaccinations.
Mother Tongue
Students in MYP5-DP2 are offered mother tongue tuition.
Apply for and read more about mother tongue lessons at Gymnasie level on the City of Helsingborg’s website.
Applications can be made 1 January - 25 August.
You have to submit an application for each academic year from MYP5 to DP2.
DP/MYP5 Study Centre – Access to Quiet Study Room
If you need a quiet place to work independently, please use the Study Centre. Located on the top floor of the library building, it offers individual study booths and central seating in a calm, focused environment. The Study Centre is available exclusively to ISH students in MYP5, DP1, and DP2.
New ISH students already have a charged door tag. Returning students moving from MYP4 to MYP5 should hand in their door tag at the main office within the first two weeks of school. The caretaker will activate access, and the tag can be collected from the office two days later. To enter the Study Centre, hold your door tag against the black reader on the wall to the right when entering through the main entrance to the library.
Contact Details
Email ish@helsingborg.se if you change your contact details. We need to be able to contact you by email, regular mail and by telephone. Most communication from the school is sent out in your class newsletter and PYP Campus Bulletin via ManageBac. Teachers will also communicate individually with parents via email; therefore it is important that a correct and active email address is supplied.
Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
The PTA’s vision is to create a better everyday school experience for the students at ISH. They encourage parental involvement within the school, raise money for social and educational activities. You can find more information about the PTA in the Parent Handbooks on the ISH Information Site.
