Biography
I am an associate professor in my seventh year in the Mathematics Department at Utah Tech University. I am currently serving as department chair. I teach a variety of both upper- and lower-division math courses.
Education
North Carolina State University
PhD in Mathematics • 2017
MS in Mathematics • 2015
University of Utah
Honors BA in Mathematics • 2013
Utah Tech University (formerly Dixie State University)

Areas of Interest
My main research area is abstract algebra; more specifically linear algebra, lie algebras, vertex algebras and representation theory. In representation theory, we aim to find concrete, usable representations of abstract mathematical spaces so that they can be applied to physics, chemistry, engineering, and other areas. I am also interested in cryptography, especially the intersection of cryptography and quantum computing.
