Introduction Video

Transcript for video: Hi! My name is Mrs. Cummings and I’ll be your ASL teacher this year. I grew up in the Eastern US and lived in several different states including Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, and Illinois. Now I live in northern Utah with my husband and 5 children. I enjoy reading, playing games, and doing puzzles with my family. I graduated from USU with a bachelor’s degree in education with a focus on ASL and Deaf Education, and I got my master’s degree from USU in Second Language Teaching.

I’ve been teaching ASL for the past 16 years and before that I was an interpreter for 5 years and I was a teacher of the Deaf in an elementary classroom for 3 years. I have a variety of experience in my background. I’ve been involved in the Deaf community for over 25 years. I’m really looking forward to working with you this year and teaching you ASL! If you have any questions about what you are learning, please feel free to contact me through email and I’ll be so happy to help! I look forward to this year!
