PROBLEM

Cleaning concrete residue from roller screeds while they rest on the ground is difficult and requires a lot of bending and kneeling.

CHANGE

The Draper shed 227 made two roller units from jack stands and casters to raise the rollers off the ground.

RESULT

Raising the heavy roller screeds to a more comfortable work position allows easier and more efficient cleaning. The crew does not need to bend down as far during lifting and cleaning, making this safer and easier on their backs. The caster wheels allow the rollers to be rotated, ensuring thorough cleaning and preventing damage from being rolled on the ground.
