Crews haul equipment to job sites, set up traffic control, and perform a whole host of other activities that require transporting tools and supplies. Purchasing and maintaining multiple trailers is expensive.
To enhance efficiency and reduce costs, the Panguitch Shed (4469) fabricated a specialized deck that holds traffic control barrels and signs. Without the deck installed, they can use their trailer to haul equipment and supplies. Then, when they need to do traffic control, they can quickly mount the fully loaded traffic control deck to the trailer.
Their interchangeable traffic control deck allows the crew to use the trailer for multiple purposes, avoiding the added expense of purchasing a single-purpose traffic control trailer.
Having the traffic control deck pre-loaded saves the crew time, especially when responding to emergencies.
