Hello, and welcome to my website!  I'm a Professor of Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at The University of Tennessee at Martin.

My research is broadly concerned with the geometry and topology of Riemannian manifolds of non-negative sectional curvature, especially those with symmetry.  Much of my recent work falls under two main headings.  First, I have been working towards understanding Grove's Double Soul Conjecture.  Second, via several undergraduate research projects, I have worked on understanding the sectional curvature properties of certain families of biquotients.  All of my papers and preprints can be found on my arxiv page. For more details, see my Research  page.  The NSF has generously supported my work via two grants: DMS 2105556 (2021-2024) and DMS 2405266 (2024-2027).

If you're here regarding a course I'm teaching, you should visit our course page on Canvas.

Together with Steve Elliott, I co-coordinate the Middle School Math Contest at UTM.  For more information on this contest, please see this page.
