To effectively use the app for improving your pronunciation, we recommend following these steps:
Listen: Tap on the word or phrase you want to practice. The app will play the pronunciation using your phone's text-to-speech feature.
Record: Press the "Record" button and speak into your phone's microphone to record yourself saying the word or phrase.
Stop and Listen: After recording, press "Stop Recording." Then, press "Listen" to playback your pronunciation. Compare it with the original pronunciation you heard from your phone.
Compare and Practice: Tap on the word or phrase again to listen to the correct pronunciation one more time. This helps you to compare directly and notice any differences.
Apply: Try to use the word or phrase in a sentence of your own. This helps in understanding the usage and further improves your pronunciation. If you're not sure how to use it, you can check on a corpus website like Google Book corpora or Netspeak.org.
Master and Move On: Once you feel confident in your pronunciation of the current word or phrase, proceed to the next one to continue learning.
This cycle of listening, recording, comparing, and applying will greatly assist you in mastering pronunciation and understanding the use of new words or phrases in context.
