Hi I'm Matthew,
I have 2 children ages 10 and 6 (Both members of the chapter as well.) I work primarily in the electronics trade, having done IT for 10 years and now working at Ampcontrol repairing their underground electronic appliances.
I grew up with The Next Generation (TNG) and Voyager (VOY) and my favourite captain is Jean-Luc Picard, but my favourite character is Commander Will Riker (as you may notice from my beard shaping). I have watched all of the movies, original, Next Gen and the new Kelvin Timeline (Chris Pine) and enjoy them all. I am very much enjoying the Strange New Worlds series as well.
What I enjoy most about Star Trek – Being huge into the tech field, it would have to be all of the wonderful toys and sci-fi devices. If I was to work on a starship, I think I would be in engineering for sure. Aside from Star Trek, I like most Sci-Fi pop culture, Supernatural, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Witcher, Matrix, Back to the Future etc……this list goes on.
like to make and craft, design and 3d print. I have 3 printers, and therefore like to make various props for myself and the crew. I do enjoy cosplay as well and have a few costumes that have been made – Han Solo, Captain Rex armour, Kamui Woods from My Hero Accademia, and several Star Trek uniforms – depending on if I am feeling command or engineering.
Role playing Dungeons and Dragons is great fun and I have been playing on and off (and other role playing games) since I was about 16. I am also the President of the MackPopCon committee that organises the local Pop Culture convention…so busy…
