Co-Lab Life Sciences convenes Visayas-based researchers and students in a webinar spotlighting practical research design, microbiology, and natural products science to advance accessible, real-world scientific inquiry.
𝘽𝘼𝘾𝙊𝙇𝙊𝘿 𝘾𝙄𝙏𝙔 — The Co-Lab Life Sciences laboratory, a vital institution in the Visayas region dedicated to making science accessible, successfully spearheaded the insightful "Making Science Work for You" webinar this December 12, 2025, from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. via Zoom, featuring Co-Lab Life Sciences Vice President and CMO Kyle Patrick Taruc, MSc, and Herbanext Laboratories, Inc. Research and Development Manager Phil Aidan Cruz, MSc, who collectively guided researchers, particularly students, on selecting impactful research topics, covering Sir Taruc's presentation on microbiology research workload and collaborative thesis studies, such as simulated epidemiological testing of Oomycostatic Rhizobacteria as biocontrols for cacao disease, and Sir Cruz's discussion of important concepts within the field of natural products research, analytical chemistry, and pharmacognosy.
This webinar marked another step for Co-Lab's ongoing commitment to bridging the gap between advanced laboratory tools and real-world research applications for the benefit of the regional scientific community.
