I am an Assistant Professor of Finance at the McLaren & Masagung School of Management at the University of San Francisco. My areas of research are empirical banking, corporate and household finance.

Before joining the University of San Francisco, I received my Ph.D. in Economics (Finance) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I also have a Master’s degree in Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.

My most recent paper focuses on the new U.S. bank examinations in response to the 2008 financial crisis, knows as stress tests. I empirically showed the impact of higher capital requirements of stress tests on banks behavior and lending actions, and the transmission of this shock to the real economy.
