Auburn-Washburn Family Supports

Resources for Families to Support Student Learning During COVID-19

Thank you for your support of our schools as we have developed plans to resume learning during the current COVID-19 situation.

To support teaching and learning efforts, we have developed our Moving Teaching and Learning Safely Forward plan. This plan provides an overview of what student learning will look like and how teachers can support student learning from an instructional perspective. Among other topics, the plan provides guidance on the following:

  • Descriptions of student learning at various "Phases of Learning" as necessitated by health safety concerns;

  • Attendance schedules at various phases of learning;

  • Hybrid learning design criteria and recommendations; and

  • Professional supports available to teachers as we make this significant shift toward hybrid learning.

As you have already discovered, this situation remains fluid, and our approach to moving forward is agile. While we provide as much specific guidance as possible, please know that the document is subject to change. We will publish a list of changes within the document, and you are encouraged to frequently review this document for the most up-to-date information.
