LEARNING TODAY, LEADING TOMORROW
Comanche County USD 300 is a community of learners and educators. Our schools challenge students with a highly relevant curriculum and provide support for their endeavors and dreams within a safe and caring learning environment. We love what we do and are proud of our role in preparing young people for their future. Get to know some of our students, and it becomes obvious what makes us so great, but if that’s not possible, browse our website to learn what we’re all about.

A Message Concerning The Ceasing of Normal School Operations
March 17, 2020, Governor Laura Kelly announced all normal school operations will change significantly for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year. We understand that this will place tremendous hardship on our families and staff, and impact the social and emotional well-being of our students. This will require flexibility from everyone in order to make this successful.
We will continue to educate our student population ; however, we know this will look different. We have been working on contingency plans, including how we can meet the ongoing needs of our students and provide breakfast and lunch for our students. The week of March 23 will be used for the USD 300 staff to plan and to determine how this will look in our district.
Our staff and board of education are also working on other critical issues, such as what this means for our seniors, how this will affect next school year, and what impact this will have on our employees. We will provide updates on these issues as soon as the information is available.
We plan to keep everyone informed through emails, social media, and our school website, with regular updates . As a reminder, this school closure is in response to the current public health crisis. The focus should remain on preventing the spread of the coronavirus, or COVID-19, as it is also referred to. We don't have all the answers, but we will find a way to navigate through this. As of March 17, there are no confirmed cases in Comanche County. We are fortunate that we live in such a supportive community, and we will continue to keep you informed on this situation.
