To enhance and improve educational opportunities for all students of USD 231.
The USD 231 Endowment Association, created in 1991, was established to provide funding for special enrichmentgrants/projects for the schools in our District and administer scholarship opportunities for GEHS graduating seniors.
Teacher grants provide an added learning experience to the classroom. Scholarships provide much needed financial assistance to qualifying and deserving students.
It is the mission of the USD 231 Endowment Association to promote and financially enrich the Gardner Edgerton Schools so that they can achieve excellence in all educational services provided to the community. The Endowment Association funds scholarships and programs in support of this mission.
In addition, the USD 231 Endowment Association secures and prudently manages private funds in order to foster, stimulate, and enhance educational opportunities for the students of Gardner Edgerton School District. We do that by issuing scholarships and generating and guiding philanthropic resources through personal and corporate contributions, planned giving, and events.
The Endowment Association was created to operate in connection with USD 231 to develop private funds which will enhance and stimulate the educational experience for students, faculty and staff in the school district. This includes:
--Post-secondary scholarships to colleges, universities and vocational technical schools to worthy USD 231students.
--Concurrent Enrollment (College Now, CNA Certification)
--Classroom/Teacher Grants for all levels of educational projects throughout the USD 231 system.
--Financial support to supplement the teaching resources available to instructors employed by USD 231.
--Soliciting, accepting, receiving and administering contributions of funds or property to be invested and reinvested by the association as well as pursue fundraising efforts to accomplish these and other goals for the Endowment Association.
