The Physics Wonder Girls Camp is a FREE FOUR-DAY PHYSICS CAMP held at the University City campus of Saint Joseph's University (formerly University of the Sciences)
FOUR DAYS OF FUN AND LEARNING WITH HANDS-ON PHYSICS EXPERIMENTS AND PROJECTS, SOLAR AND RENEWABLE ENERGIES, SCIENCE OF FOOD, QUANTUM SCIENCE, SCIENCE CAREER TALKS, AND LAB/PLANT TOURS!
TWO ELITE COHORTS OF RISING 8TH / 9TH GRADER GIRLS ARE SELECTED FROM A POOL OF TOP SCIENCE STUDENTS NOMINATED BY SCIENCE TEACHERS IN THE PHILADELPHIA-SOUTH JERSEY AREA FOR THEIR APTITUDE IN SCIENCE
WHAT'S NEW THIS YEAR ?
"EQUITY in ENERGY" POSTER SESSIONS ON THE LIVES AND CONTRIBUTION OF WOMEN IN PHYSICS AND ENERGY SCIENCE
BUILDING SOLAR-POWERED SPINNERS
MODELING ENERGY GRID AND MICROGRIDS
BUILDING AND TESTING SOLAR COOKERS
Sponsored by Constellation, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Puratos Corporation
Left: Middle school girls learn about solar panels and circuits with hands-on experiments. Right: Campers gave individual poster presentations on the lives and contributions of women physicists - a unique feature of this camp that promotes diversity and equity in STEM.

Listen to what Parents and Campers are saying about Physics Wonder Girls Camp 2022
The camp was actually so much fun! We did really cool projects!
This camp was AMAZING!!! What a great job bringing physics to life & making it relevant & fun!
My daughter was very excited and talked very passionately about the labs they did at the camp. Also, she was glad that there were female peers she could talk to.
Dr. Ramos & his camp crew were AWESOME!!! Well organized & well run camp!!! I really appreciated it as a parent & my daughter really enjoyed all of the experiences!
She is now considering a major in physics when she applies for College.
