The Catherine and Joseph Aresty Department of Urology is a community of excellence that is expanding in size and sophistication. Our team includes more than 65 board-certified urologists, radiologists, oncologic surgeons and specialized pathologists who are proficient in the most advanced diagnostic, surgical and recovery approaches.
With superior expertise in prostate cancer surgery, our team is one of the few in the country that provides cutting edge comprehensive treatment options including the latest robotic and laparoscopic techniques, traditional surgery, radiation therapy, seed implants and cryotherapy.
BEFORE APPLYING TO ANY OF OUR FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMS:
It is our institutional policy that any applicants accepted into one our fellowship programs will need to obtain a California full Physicians & Surgeons medical license. NO special licenses are accepted.
Minimum requirements for a California medical license include:
Board-approved postgraduate training (current residency program) must be accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) if completed in the United States and its territories, or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) and/or The College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) if completed in Canada and must include at least four months of general medicine.

In accordance with current policies, J-1 sponsorship is available only for our ACGME-accredited programs. For non-ACGME positions, we are unable to consider applicants who require visa sponsorship.
