Infrastructural Imaginary

EXHIBITION

MAR 25 - APR 09, 2017

Infrastructural Imaginary explored the history, current state, and potential futures of Taylor Yard, an abandoned railyard in Glassell Park, Los Angeles. The exhibition presented contemporary explorations of the site in dialogue with historical documents, in an attempt to fill a gap in Los Angeles history by reintroducing industry into the larger narratives of the city and by exploring the construction of site through imagined narratives, artifacts, and projections.

Produced during a residency at Lakeside Lab on West Okoboji Lake, Iowa. The Artist in Residence program supported is by the Iowa Board of Regents. Special thanks to Danny, Emma, Tucker, Jamie, Travis, and Prof. Lorri Biederman for essential research and project assistance.
