The Korean Alphabet System

USC Korean language program invites you to learn more about 한글(Hangeul) in the event of celebrating the 576th Korean Alphabet Day. 한글날(HangeulNal) is annually observed in South Korea on October 9 to commemorate the invention and proclamation of the Korean Alphabet system.

At this event, you will have the opportunity to try Korean handwriting; Mask decoration with Korean letters; Korean craft kits activity; Traditional Korean games; and delicious Korean snacks!

A fun Korean handwriting contest will kick off at 10 AM and run through 12:30 PM. You'll be entered into our exciting raffle giveaway if you write and submit yours at the venue. Raffle prizes include Korean keychains, bookmarkers, and small stationeries. The USC Korean language faculty will evaluate all entries, and three winners will be announced and awarded at the end of the event. The contest is open to all USC Trojans.

Join us and enjoy our celebration of the Korean language and culture!
