Chamsi Hssaine
I am an assistant professor in the Department of Data Sciences and Operations at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business.
My research interests lie broadly in data-driven decision-making, with applications to pricing and inventory management. Most recently, my research has focused on the impact of fairness considerations in decision-making. Another theme of my work explores new models and algorithms for modern e-commerce platforms.
Previously, I was a postdoctoral scientist in the Supply Chain Optimization Technologies group at Amazon, working under the supervision of Garrett van Ryzin. I obtained my Ph.D. in Operations Research at Cornell University. Prior to that, I graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University, with a B.S.E. in Operations Research and Financial Engineering, and a minor in Applied Mathematics.
