Prom Shopping

Amelia Cradler

March 2022

I have done A LOT of prom dress shopping. Everyday. All Day. Online shopping. Over 40 websites. 10,000 dresses. And yet a perfect one… has not been found. Prom dress shopping is never ideal, the pressure to find a perfect dress is too great, waiting for the judgment of your peers to say their opinion. In my time of shopping I have seen the new styles and colors that I am assuming you will see at prom this year.

Lately I have been seeing many sequin dresses. Many girls will choose their favorite color and add sequins all over it. There are many options out there and sparkles will be the look of this prom. Sparkles are bound to be all over the dance floor.

Another common style in the prom 2022 fashion is the one strap dress. I believe the one strap can be very classy and add something different to even a simple dress. One strap can change your dress for something different and affect the whole style.

Strappy Dresses are a new common look. A strappy back can add flare to the back of the dress, a new fun look to tie the dress or just a fun way to add sleeves.

Embroidered Dresses allow an elegant tone to your prom look. As you can choose lace or some rhinestones, overall it adds a timeless look to prom fashion. The nostalgic look elevates your style with some simple jewelry.

Satin Dresses are a classic look. The Satin look is simple yet elegant. Many girls have seen this look and although I doubted it at first, this style has definitely grown on me.
