UCSD Nutrition Services is proud to offer a variety of healthy, tasty snacks and meals for student, parent, and faculty benefit. All catering proceeds support the achievement of every UCSD student by expanding food access to healthy and delicious meals.

Classroom Parties and Fundraisers
School sponsored events must follow the Healthy Kids Act guidelines and the Local Wellness Policy as related to food consumption. If families would like to provide snacks for their child's class party, they must meet the Smart Snacks in Schools standards as the classroom party is a school sanctioned activity. Families, schools, and PTOs can purchase snacks for Classroom Parties and Fundraising Events through Nutrition Services to guarantee Smart Snack Standards are met. You can place orders here. Please place orders at least two weeks in advance.
Staff Appreciation Breakfast & Lunch
Our catering menu is available for a variety of events. There are many entrees, sides, desserts, and beverages to choose from. To ensure adequate time for product arrival and staff coverage, place orders two weeks in advance.
Please place internal catering orders by filling out the Nutrition Services Catering Form.

All food and beverages sold to students for fundraising activities that take place from midnight to 4pm must meet the Smart Snacks in Schools Standards. The standards do not apply for fundraising events that take place during non-school hours, on weekends, and at off-campus fundraising events.

Fundraisers:
In Iowa, there are zero exemptions for fundraisers. All fundraisers that take place before, during, and 30 minutes after school must meet the Smart Snacks nutrition standards as indicated in Iowa Administrative Code 281-58.10.
Snack List FAQs
Can I bring homemade treats from home for a classroom party?
No, homemade treats cannot be sold or shared with multiple students during the school day. However, you may choose snack items from one of the district snack lists for activities during the school day and up to 30 minutes after the last bell.What about pre-packed treats from a store?
Please select one of the items listed on the store-bought snack list.Can I still pack whatever I want in my student’s sack lunch from home?
Yes, there are no restrictions as to what you must pack in a student’s lunch brought from home. Classroom snack policies only regulate what can be sold or shared with multiple students during the school day.Do I have to purchase a snack for my student that is on the approved snack list?
Students can bring their own individual snack, and it does not have to be on the list of approved snacks. Snacks shared with other students such as classroom parties, birthday treats, or other events need to be on the approved snack list
