Description: XN-1000 analyzer (Sysmex, Kobe, Japan) that was released in 2011 saw the introduction of a new technology for the assessment of the white blood cell (WBC) differential and blood cell count. This analyzer involves the use of three new channels: white cell differential (WDF), white cell nucleated (WNR), and white cell precursor (WPC). Cell populations are separated in an optimum way, and an accurate NRBC count is performed. The analyzer will raise a flag when it discovers cells that are abnormal. It integrates hydrodynamic focusing in specialized channels and fluorescent flow cytometry using a semiconductor laser.
