Worship and Anointing with Oil or Ashes

We begin the season of Lent with ashes and dust — realizing the limits of human life, and our need for each other and for God’s grace because we cannot do or be or manage everything. We will offer a short worship service and a chance for reflection at 5:00pm in the Zoom room. We will package ashes to be delivered to homes prior to Ash Wednesday.

Whether you come for anointing or ashes, or reflect privately at home, we invite you to prayerfully remember the grief and the promise of “ashes to ashes, dust to dust. All of us go down to the dust, yet even at the grave we make our song…”.

Annual Congregational Meeting

Sunday, January 31, at 11:15am on the Zoom meeting platform

The annual meeting of the Congregation and Corporation of the United Presbyterian Church of Binghamton will be held online this year on January 31, immediately following the worship service and coffee hour in the Zoom room. The purpose of the meeting is to elect officers and the nominating committee, to receive the budget, to renew the congregational covenant with the pastors, to hear the reports of the ministries and teams, and to conduct any other business proper to the ongoing work of the congregation.

Voting will be handled electronically, using the “Raise Hand” feature of the Zoom platform.
