One of our cherished traditions at United Pres is the Bouquet of Remembrance, which we will build together to remember and honor the cloud of witnesses that surround us in the communion of saints. We will place a flower and read the name of each member of our faith community who has died in the past year, and their photos will be projected on the screen and shown on the livestream. If someone you love has died since November 2024, please send their name and photo to the church office by noon on Tuesday, October 28.
If there is someone from years past that you would like to remember, please send us the name and photo (if possible) of the person you are remembering. During the celebration of the Lord’s Supper, you will have the opportunity to speak their name and place a flower in the bouquet for them, and we will have a slide show featuring our communion of saints. The Bouquet of Remembrance will be the centerpiece of the table on which the elements are consecrated. Everyone is invited to bring flowers to place in the bouquet when we gather at the table for communion. Extra flowers will be available if you are unable to bring your own.
To assist us in making this remembrance, please send the names of all of those you would like to remember to the church office no later than noon on Tuesday, October 28. If you need help sending a photo, please contact the church office and let us know.
Come to this repast and remember those from our congregation that we love and miss. You’re invited to bring a side dish or dessert to share; or just come as you are — there’s always plenty of food! The Hospitality Team is ordering Zue’s Chicken for everyone and will provide coffee, tea, juice, water, and place settings.
We are a place where everyone is welcome as we support one another
to act justly, practice kindness, and walk humbly with God.
