Plenary Title

How to Simplify Complex Models for Biological Systems.

Abstract

Mathematical models of biological systems are often highly complex, making simplification essential. In this talk, I will discuss two key methods for simplifying these models: time delay and quasi-steady-state approximations. I will also highlight common pitfalls and instances where these methods have been misapplied, followed by a discussion on their proper and effective use in biological modeling.
