Tasks/responsibilities/outputs expected from the intern
Specifically, the interns will be involved in the information and education campaign (IEC) function. The duties of the interns include the following:
- Design and execute an information and education campaign about a specific topic on climate change, based on the priorities of the LCCAO
- Conduct a baseline assessment of LCCAO’s communication strategies (may include surveys, focus group discussions, etc.)
- Design and produce multimedia materials (infographics, flyers, brochures, etc.) to communicate technical/scientific papers, legislations, and other references to various stakeholders
- Produce a community broadcast/AVP related to the chosen topic
- Assist in creating a social media management plan for the LCCAO
- Develop and design content to be posted in LCCAO’s social media accounts
- Read and be knowledgeable about references relevant to the chosen topic
- Monitor and evaluate the outputs of the campaign
- Work closely with and regularly report to the IAL Unit
- Contribute and participate in the meetings and different activities of the LCCAO
- From time-to-time, write articles about the different activities of the LCCAO during the period of the student’s internship program
