Tasks and Qualifications
Development and Communication Program [3 slots, purely online/virtual]
Tasks, responsibilities, and expected outputs of the interns
Drafting, reviewing, and editing communication materials, such as social media content, project briefs, videos, feature stories, etc.;
Strategizing and designing multi-part communication campaigns to raise awareness and shift attitudes on social issues;
Conduct basic audience research to analyze the public’s understanding of relevant sociopolitical issues and challenges in the Philippines;
Support preparations for internal and external events, such as knowledge sharing activities, trainings, forums, webinars, etc.;
Actively participate in DevComm team activities and provide timely updates on tasks and deliverables;
Perform other related duties on a per-need basis
Requirements and qualifications for applicants
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Development Communication, Journalism, Multimedia Arts, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or any related field
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with experience in technical writing (e.g. reports, case studies) and content creation (e.g. social media posts, blogs)
Basic knowledge of graphic design, photography, and videography is a plus
Familiarity with social media management and digital marketing tools is a plus
Experience in events management is preferable but not required;
Interest in development work, rural communities, and sustainable development
Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Food Security and Nutrition Program [5 slots, blended mode (in-person/on-site and online/virtual) ]
Tasks, responsibilities, and expected outputs of the interns
Development of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials, such as infographics, factsheets, and social media graphics, to support training, advocacy, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
Video documentation and digital storytelling, including the production of short videos, reels, or photo stories highlighting IIRR initiatives such as Lighthouse Schools, Crop Museums, and home and community gardens
Assistance in the development of training modules, toolkits, and presentation materials, including layout design, visual enhancement, and formatting of learning resources related to climate-resilient food production, nutrition-sensitive agriculture, and food systems.
Support in documenting project activities, including preparing summaries, captions, and short write-ups for reports, communication briefs, and other knowledge-sharing outputs.
Requirements and qualifications for applicants
Must have their own laptop
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Basic skills in video editing and multimedia production
Able to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively.
