The Crops Research Division (CRD) of DOST-PCAARRD would like to express its interest in partnering with the College of Development Communication of UPLB in offering internship opportunities for your students. The CRD Internship Program aims to equip communication students with hands-on experience in developing relevant information, education, and communication (IEC) materials related to crop research and development initiatives.
Interns will work closely with our communication specialists, program managers, and researchers to produce outputs such as news articles, social media content, and photo documentation. These outputs are intended to effectively communicate research results and knowledge to diverse audiences, including farmers, media practitioners, policymakers, and the general public.
Tasks and deliverables
Write and publish at least three (3) Quick Information Dispatches (QIDs) and/or press releases;
Draft at least three (3) social media posts for the DOST-PCAARRD and CRD Facebook pages;
Participate in and document at least one (1) field monitoring visit of ongoing programs and projects;
Edit at least one (1) draft of an information bulletin;
Assist in the filing of IEC materials;
Assist in maintaining an organized and accurate inventory of photos in the Network Attached Storage (NAS); and
Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
