The Institute particularly needs two (2) DevComm practitioners who can serve as a writer-researcher, and graphic designer/layout artist and photographer/videographer/video editor.
Scope of Work
Guided by the TTBDP personnel, the DevComm interns will contribute to the technology transfer program of BIOTECH through the following tasks and responsibilities:
Conceptualize and plan for the development of two article write-ups and two audiovisual presentations about selected BIOTECH technologies;
Develop the content outlines/storyboard for the materials;
Conduct the recorded interviews with resource persons;
Gather relevant photos and video footages;
Produce the first, second, and final drafts of the IEC materials; and
Conduct an evaluation of the developed materials with target audience.
Outputs
For midyear 2023, in the span of 6 weeks, the two interns are expected to deliver the following outputs for the Institute:
Two feature stories about two BIOTECH technologies submitted for publication in the UPLB Horizon and website, and online news outfits (i.e. Business Mirror), including a summarized writeup for each article (to be used in an upcoming "flipbook" compilation of testimonials about BIOTECH technologies), and related social media posts and images.
Two (2) how-to videos about two BIOTECH technologies featuring their technology developers and technology takers/adopters for uploading on BIOTECH's social media channels, and showing to the Institute's partners, stakeholders, visitors, and/or training participants.
Note: BIOTECH's TTBDP has an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription which includes Photoshop and Premiere apps which the interns may use for photo and video editing.
Qualifications
Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere
Willing to travel and report at BIOTECH office at least once a week
