The UP System Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (UP TTBDO)is the university's instrument in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, finding solutions to problems and contributing to national growth.
TTBDO provides assistance to university researchers in disclosing all their creations and inventions, intellectual property (IP) applications, as well as in advising them which is the best market to pursue for their works. TTBDO has various programs such as the Invention Disclosure (IDI) Clinic which aims to assess the challenges faced by the researchers in filing disclosures, assist them with preliminary customer development, help them in the further development of the technologies, and incentivize them in disclosing their IP to the university. The office also communicates and coordinates with other TTBDO offices across the system to monitor and advertise the programs and technologies.
Tasks
Assist in the implementation of TTBDO's programs such as communicating with university researchers, senior partners, industry partners and other stakeholders, conducting preliminary customer discovery, and others;
Assist in writing and producing promotional and publicity materials for the programs (e.g., email campaigns, letters, articles, and social media content);
Assist in planning and hosting events;
Assist in coordinating with TTBDO teams across the UP System to have an understanding of the University's technologies; and
Provide assistance to other UPS-TTBDO members as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications
This is a remote position, candidates must have their own equipment needed to accomplish work tasks (e.g., laptop and stable internet connection)
Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office applications plus web design and/or social media channels
Good organizational and communication skills
Excellent English and Filipino writing skills
Strong ability to collaborate
Highly driven and resourceful
