ComDev Asia (CDA), a regional initiative that promotes Communication for Development (ComDev) in the Asia-Pacific region. CDA aims to build ComDev capacities and support rural communication policies and services in the region. It supports the implementation of a regional Participatory Communication Plan within the framework of the United Nations Decade of Family Farming (UNDFF, 2019-2028) and it is promoted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

Tasks

With the belief that CDA will be a great avenue for Devcom interns to apply their learnings and hone their skills on development communication, we would like to host two interns who will be assigned under CDA (1) and CCComDev (1), to assist in performing the following duties:

1. Create publicity materials for various virtual events and document activities/events;

2. Write two articles/stories per week (one each for ComDev Asia and CCComDev);

3. Produce training/webinar/workshop materials; assist in the implementation of training/webinar/workshop design; facilitate and document training/webinar/workshop sessions; assist in the evaluation of training/workshop/webinar;

4. Assist in writing, research, editing, and packaging of RCS studies;

5. Create an annotated bibliography of journal articles on RCS from 2019-2023;

6. Assist in the mapping of ComDev opportunities; and

7. Perform other tasks assigned by CDA.

Successful applicants will be engaged in a purely online/virtual mode and will be rendering 200 hours or its equivalent in outputs/tasks that can be accomplished remotely during the Midyear 2023.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing skills;

• Proficient in graphic design and video production;

• Has laptop or desktop computer and microphone headset or USB microphone;

• Has stable internet connection; and

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
