Responsibilities
The interns will be mainly involved in the on-going activities of the department, namely the National Science Communication Framework Project (NSFP), Science Communication Fellowship Program (SFP), and proposal preparation for the National Science Communication Institute for Development (NSI4D). Specifically, the interns are expected to:
Assist in the conduct of the desk research and preparations for the field work activities of the NSFP;
Assist in organizing survey data and writing of module evaluation reports of the SFP;
Assist in the preparation of survey tools, collection and organization of survey data, writing of research results summary on academic tracer studies;
Design and lay-out communication materials and reports related to the department activities;
Set up and populate online database/ media platforms as repository of research and public service accomplishments of the department.
Qualifications
We prefer interns who have strong writing, graphic designing and analytical skills, a team player but can work independently, and with keen interest in communication research.
Application Process
Interested interns may submit their: a) letter of intent addressed to the DSC Chair and CV; b) portfolio/work samples; and c) OCS certified DEVC courses taken with corresponding grades.
Depending on the applications that we will receive but we may conduct online interviews for short-listed applicants.
