Mode of internship
Blended (virtual for coordination work) and in person if needed for meeting, conference participation and fieldwork activities.
Tasks/Responsibilities
Develop digital content for the Policy Advocacy Unit and Knowledge Management Unit
A. For interns interested to work with the Policy Advocacy Unit
Prepare documents and assist leaders in attending congressional hearings and coalition meetings both online and in-person
Write and design policy briefs and policy papers for wider dissemination in PAKISAMA website and social media channels
Prepare media advisory and press statement for in person or virtual press conferences
Organize media events and coordinate with local and media outlets
Prepare work plan and strategies for story harvesting and documentation of best practices of family farmers in land rights and rural development advocacies.
B. For interns interested to work with the Knowledge Management Unit
Provide technical support and assist in preparing documentation report of online activities conducted.
Update communication plan of PAKISAMA to incorporate recent campaign and project activities
Develop content, tracker and manage social media accounts for the visibility of project activities and promotion of the products of members
Write articles and design visibility materials such as infographics, leaflets, brochure and templates for power point presentations
Assist in digital marketing of farmers’ products
Prepare work plan and strategies for story harvesting and documentation of best practices of family farmers in sustainable farming and marketing of products

Qualifications
Proficient in MS Office Applications (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Google Documents and Teleconferencing Applications (Zoom, MS Teams)
Proficient communication skills both verbal and written
Basic knowledge on social media channels, management, and content creation
Has basic knowledge and skills graphic design and video editing through the use of editing softwares such as Photoshop, Indesign, Canva and Adobe Premiere)
Has strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
Has the strong desire and passion to work with rural family farming communities
