Every year, an incredible team of volunteers helps bring unSCruz to life. Whether greeting participants at gate, supporting artists, building infrastructure, feeding staff, or creating magical experiences behind the scenes, every role contributes to making unSCruz possible.
We're looking for dependable, collaborative people who are excited to contribute their time, talents, and positive energy to our community.
For 2027, we've expanded each department description to include examples of the types of work performed by that team. These roles are intended to help you better understand each department and determine where your interests, experience, and skills are the best fit.
While some may naturally gravitate toward certain responsibilities, most teams work collaboratively and members often wear multiple hats throughout the year and during the event. The roles listed are not intended to assign people to a single task, but rather to provide a clearer picture of how each team contributes to the success of unSCruz.
Our goal is to build well-rounded teams where people can contribute in meaningful ways, learn new skills, support one another, and help create an amazing experience for our entire community.
All staff members are expected to:
Maintain a positive, collaborative attitude.
Attend monthly staff meetings either in-person or remotely (1x/month usually 1st Saturday of each month 11-12p)
Respond to email and communications in a timely manner.
Complete any required pre-event work or meetings for their role.
Fulfill scheduled shifts and responsibilities during the event.
Be reliable, communicative, and willing to help where needed.
Treat fellow staff, participants, artists, and volunteers with kindness and respect.
Some positions involve significant pre-event planning while others are primarily event-week responsibilities. Please read the role descriptions carefully before applying.
All staff members receive:
Ability to camp in Staff Camping Area
Tent, Camper, Van, RV*
Staff Shower
Meals during setup and event days

The opportunity to help create an incredible experience for our community
Discounted +1 ticket for partner/spouse (only); staff camping is restricted to staff and your +1 ticketed partner/spouse (if applicable); no minors or visiting friends allowed in staff camping
*RV camping in staff camping is included. If you wish to camp in the general population RV area(s), you must purchase a separate RV pass at the regular RV pass price.
