HackUNO is a 24 hour coding marathon that encourages teams to think outside the box and find creative solutions to real world problems! After the 24 hours, teams will present what they have created to a panel of judges that consists of UNO students and companies from the Omaha area, who will decide the winners!

What is a Hackathon?

A Hackathon is a short development sprint that has teams develop and prototype an unique idea, whether hardware or software. Teams are encouraged to focus on keeping an idea simple and useful while programming the core features of their idea.

Is there a theme?

The theme for HackUNO 2020 is going to be weather!

Who is allowed to compete?

Any student who is currently enrolled in a university.

Will there be prizes?

The prizes for HackUNO are still being decided.

How much does it cost?

Nothing! Food, drinks, and snacks are all provided!

How big can a team be?

Teams can be as small as 1 and as large as 3.
