brief Bio:

Chibuzo Joseph NNONYELU was born in Owerri, Imo state in Nigeria in 1986. The third child out of the seven children of Late Mr. Christian Afoka Nnonyelu and Late Mrs. Nonyelu Monica Nnonyelu both from Awka in Anambra state of Nigeria. 

He attended Marist Comprehensive Academy (Uturu, Nigeria) before transferring to Government Secondary School, (Owerri, Nigeria) where he obtained his Senior Secondary Certificate in June 2003. Nnonyelu received the B.Eng. (First-class honours and best graduating student in his cohort) in Electrical Engineering from The University of Nigeria (Nsukka, Nigeria) in 2010 and the PhD in Electronic and Information Engineering (Signal Processing) from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Hong Kong) in 2018.

Nnonyelu was an Engineering Intern at DAAR Communication PLC (Nigeria) in 2009, a Radio Network Engineer at Interwireless Consultant Limited (Nigeria) between 2011-2013, a Graduate Assistant at The University of Nigeria from March 2013 to September 2018, then a lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering of The University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering/Sensible Things that Communicate Research Centre, Mid Sweden University, Sundsvall, Sweden.

Nnonyelu serves as a reviewer for some IEEE Transactions, IET Microwaves, Antennas and Propagation, and Journal of Acoustical Society of America (JASA). He serves in the editorial board of the International Journal of Sensors and Sensor Networks and has served in the technical committee of various international conferences.

He enjoys doing various extra-curricular activities which include running, basketball, and swimming. 

Research Interest:

Array signal processing, statistical signal processing, wireless communication, and machine learning.
