IEEE WIE, established on June 29, 1997, is a leading international organization dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists, inspiring girls worldwide to pursue careers in engineering. The IEEE Women in Engineering Student Branch affinity group at the University of Jaffna, formed on June 9, 2021, aims to empower women in engineering, support a growing STEM community, and drive industry change. WIE's unique approach involves both men and women empowering women to pursue their engineering passions.
