Overview

S.Balaputhiran is currently a Senior Lecturer Gr I at the Department of Accounting, University of Jaffna Sri Lanka. Prior to this, he was a Head of the Department of Accounting (2013-2015) at University of Jaffna Sri Lanka. He graduated Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka with a First Class Honours Degree in 1997 and also holds Master of Commerce from University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka. Balaputhiran has extensive teaching experience across different accounting subjects, including financial accounting, financial reporting, management accounting and management science at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research areas focus on financial accounting and policy decisions, corporate finance and business ethics and behavioural accounting. He has published management science textbook and journal articles.
