Constantine (2000). Lecturer since 2001 and professor of architecture since 2006, he taught at the University of Biskra (1989-2013) while carrying out design and research activities. He is also the founder and the former director (2006-2013) of the Laboratory for the design and modelling of architectural and urban forms and atmospheres (La.Co.Mo.F.A.).

He is currently a senior lecturer and researcher at Larbi Ben Mhidi University of Oum El Bouaghi (since 2013) and a visiting professor at the National School of Architecture and Urban Planning in Tunis (ENAU) since 2003. Besides his interests in the process of architectural design and sustainable buildings, he is currently working on urban design issues with particular reference to Space Syntax. He has published and co-authored a number of papers in known research journals, namely: Cybergeo (2019); Bulletin de la Société royale des sciences de Liège (2018); DOCOMOMO (2015); JAP (2014), Energy and Buildings (1998, 2004), Architectural Science Review (1998), OpenHouse International (1999); Nexus (2005). He is also co-author of the book "La Ville et le Désert" edited by Marc COTE at Karthala editions (2005) and of an educational book "Eléments de Conception architecturale", (OPU, 2004, 20014). He is currently initiating a new research laboratory devoted to the evaluation of quality in the built environment (LEQUAREB) based at the University of Oum El Bouaghi.

the Department of Urbanism at the Faculty of Architecture at the Delft University of Technology. She specialises in the study on the relationship between road building and urban change, location pattern of shops in built environments, studies on larger groups of cities and metropolis, the configurable urban sustainability, and the spatial features of crime in urban areas. She developed also various spatial tools for analysing the relationship between buildings and streets. She finished her PhD thesis at the Department of Land Use and Landscape Planning, Agricultural University of Norway in 2002. Moreover, she has working experience from the Public Road Administration in Norway, Drammen and Asker municipality in Norway, and teaching experience from running space syntax workshops around in Europe and China. During the last years, she has been involved in applying space syntax in various consultancy projects, such as interchange stations, effect on economic vitality of urban areas as an effect of road building, and regenerating strategies of neighbourhoods.

She got her PhD. Degree from Nagoya Institute of Technology, Nagoya, Japan, where she was selected to serve as a post doctor for more than a year. She obtained her bachelor and master degrees in EPAU, Algiers, Algeria.

She has used GIS and space syntax in her research and analysis work for more than 13 years, and is interested in land use change and transportation, walkability and urban spaces, the impact of urban development on environment, and other topics.

Dr. Meziani is the author and co-author of many international papers indexed by SCOPUS, a formal reviewer in different reputable journals and conference, and a member in the scientific board of the International Community of Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development.
