Ph.D. Summer School

Frontier Technologies for Future "Space 2.0" Communications

Third edition

29 August - 1 September 2023

Rationale and objectives

The recent change of perspective known also as “Space 2.0” will revolutionize the paradigms of satellite and, more in general, aerospace communications. The old role of “sky repeaters” attributed to Space network nodes no longer copes with the emerging requirements of flexibility, global and ubiquitous connectivity already emerged in the 5G vision. In such a perspective, the role of satellites will be reconsidered in the framework of "softwarized", reconfigurable and sustainable network infrastructures. The Ph.D. Summer School Frontier Technologies for “Space 2.0” Communications (third edition) aims at offering an overview of the most advanced technologies concerning a renewed vision of Space connectivity for the next decades.

Where, when, how?

The Summer school will be held in a remote modality, by using the Zoom platform in order to make the participation of the largest audience easier.
Please, register at the school by sending an email to the contact person Prof. CLAUDIO SACCHI (claudio.sacchi@unitn.it).  The registration deadline is August 21, 2023. A mailing list will be formed with the registered students.
The Zoom link will be sent to every registered participant 3 days before the lecture starts.

Registration and participation are COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE

At the end of the School, a Certification of attendance will be delivered to all the attending students. A final exam is foreseen for the students that can earn credits from the attendance of the Summer School.
