There have been growing criticisms of the prevalence of psychology research prioritizing WEIRD participants and underrepresenting certain groups, such as women and minority groups. The paper highlights the continuation of this exclusionary pattern in the Reproducibility Project underlining the insufficient attention on this issue in the Open Science movement. Through a critical analysis of 100 replication reports previously published psychological studies, this article emphasizes the importance of social and historical context and the multidimensionality of participants to appropriately gear towards open and transparent research.
