The purpose of the meeting is to introduce the Math PhD school of Trento and Verona and to offer you the opportunity to discuss with active researchers in our Departments.
14:00. General presentation of the Doctoral School and the call for applications (approximately 30 minutes).
14:30. “Doing a PhD in Mathematics in Trento and Verona”: talk by current PhD students (approximately 30 minutes).
15:00. Afterwards, participants in the Open Day will be divided into 4 thematic breakout rooms. Each breakout room will include talks by faculty members, presenting different research areas of our departments:
BR1: Mathematical Analysis + Mathematical Physics
BR2: Algebra + Cryptography + Geometry
BR3: MBM (Mathematics for Biology and Medicine) + Numerical Analysis
BR4: Probability and Statistics + Data Science + Theoretical Computer Science + Finance + Education
The Open Day will conclude at 17:00, approximately.
